Position Title: Head Supply Chain Management
Department: SCM
Reports To: Vice President – Manufacturing & Operations
Job Summary:
The Head Supply Chain Management will oversee procurement, inventory management,
and store operations for the organization. The ideal candidate will ensure cost-effective
purchasing, vendor management, efficient inventory control, and timely material availability
to support production and business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Procurement & Vendor Management
Develop and execute procurement strategies for sourcing engines, alternators, sheet
metal, silencers, acoustic insulation materials, and other key components.
Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors and suppliers to ensure quality and
cost-effectiveness.
Establish long-term supplier relationships and explore alternative sourcing options to
mitigate risks.
Ensure procurement compliance with CPCB, ISO 9001, and environmental
regulations.
2. Inventory & Stores Management
Oversee receipt, storage, and issuance of materials, ensuring proper documentation
and stock accuracy.
Implement FIFO (First In, First Out), JIT (Just-In-Time), and lean inventory
management techniques to optimize stock levels.
Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels, preventing shortages and
overstocking.
Ensure proper handling, labeling, and storage of raw materials, semi-finished goods,
and finished products.
3. Cost Control & Budgeting
Monitor procurement costs, negotiate contracts, and implement cost-saving
measures.
Develop and maintain purchase budgets, price forecasts, and cost analysis reports.
Work with finance teams to manage purchase orders, payments, and vendor
invoicing.
4. Coordination with Production & Logistics
Ensure on-time material availability to support production schedules and avoid
delays.
Collaborate with the logistics and warehouse teams to streamline inward and
outward material flow.
Maintain a well-organized store layout, ensuring fast and efficient retrieval of
materials.
5. ERP & Process Optimization
Implement and manage ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) for procurement and
inventory tracking.
Optimize procurement and store processes through automation and data-driven
decision-making.
Conduct regular stock audits, cycle counts, and reconciliation to maintain inventory
accuracy.
6. Compliance & Safety
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and legal regulations in procurement
and store management.
Implement best practices in warehouse safety, fire prevention, and material
handling.
7. Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management
Lead and manage a team of purchase officers, storekeepers, and inventory
controllers.
Coordinate with production, quality, finance, and logistics teams to ensure smooth
operations.

Location: Bengaluru
Key Requirements:
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Mechanical Engineering,
Business Administration, or a related field.
15+ years of experience in procurement, inventory control, or store management,
preferably in genset and acoustic manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of supply chain principles, vendor management, and cost
optimization strategies.
Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Tally, or similar) for purchase and inventory
management.
Experience in material handling, warehouse operations, and logistics coordination.
Strong negotiation, analytical, and decision-making skills.
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of CPCB, ISO 9001, and OSHA regulations related to materials and
procurement.
Familiarity with import/export documentation and global sourcing strategies.
Understanding of lean manufacturing principles, Kaizen, and Six Sigma for inventory
optimization.
Pay: ₹55,000.00 - ₹95,000.00 per month
