A Mechanical Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and improving mechanical systems and products. They work across industries like manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, energy, and construction.
- Design and develop mechanical components and systems
- Create detailed engineering drawings using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks)
- Perform simulations and analysis (thermal, stress, fluid dynamics)
- Conduct testing and validate prototypes
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (electrical, production, quality)
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations
- Manage project timelines, costs, and documentation
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles
- Proficiency in CAD/CAE tools (SolidWorks, CATIA, ANSYS, etc.)
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes (CNC, casting, welding)
- Problem-solving and analytical thinking
- Basic knowledge of materials science
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 0–3 years (Fresher/Entry-level) or more for experienced roles
- Certifications (optional but valuable): CAD, Six Sigma, PMP
- Experience in product design or industrial machinery
- Familiarity with automation or robotics
- Exposure to quality standards like ISO
- Office (design & planning) + factory/site (implementation & testing)
- May require travel depending on project
- Fresher: ₹2.5–5 LPA
- Mid-level: ₹5–10 LPA
