We are seeking a Purchase Manager to oversee the procurement of construction materials, equipment, services, and office supplies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing reliable vendors, negotiating contracts, ensuring timely procurement, and maintaining cost efficiency while adhering to quality standards and project timelines.
Role & responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective purchasing of materials, equipment, and services.
- Identify, evaluate, negotiate, and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to achieve the best quality, pricing, and delivery terms.
- Manage end-to-end procurement activities including raising Purchase Orders (POs), obtaining quotations, comparative analysis, order placement, and follow-up.
- Ensure uninterrupted supply of materials for hospitality operations, restaurants, construction projects, and corporate offices.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with Stores, Operations, Kitchen, Engineering, and Project teams to prevent stock shortages and overstocking.
- Conduct regular market research to identify new suppliers, cost-saving opportunities, and innovative products.
- Negotiate annual contracts, rate agreements, and payment terms with suppliers.
- Ensure all purchases comply with company policies, budgets, and approval matrices.
- Coordinate with Accounts for timely invoice verification, GRN reconciliation, and vendor payment processing.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, vendor databases, purchase registers, and documentation.
- Track procurement KPIs such as cost savings, lead time, supplier performance, and purchase cycle efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, quality standards, and company SOPs.
- Resolve supplier-related issues including quality concerns, delivery delays, shortages, and disputes.
- Prepare periodic MIS reports on procurement activities, purchase trends, vendor performance, and budget utilization.
- Lead and mentor the procurement team while driving continuous process improvements.
- Coordinate procurement across multiple business units and locations as required.
Preferred candidate profile
- 8 -10 years of experience in procurement in construction, or real estate.
- Strong negotiation, vendor management, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP/Inventory Management Software, and procurement systems.
- Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
Pay: ₹26,900.19 - ₹56,722.58 per month
