JD – Video Editor & Graphic Designer Location: Dadar west / Wadala General Shift: 8.5 hours Summary: We are looking for a detail-oriented, creative, and fast-executing Video Editor cum Graphic Designer to produce high-quality short-form and long-form videos, as well as engaging static and motion graphics for Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, WhatsApp, and other digital platforms. You will transform raw footage, screen recordings, talking-head videos, and design briefs into clear, engaging, platform-optimized content that aligns with our brand. You will primarily work using Adobe Premiere Pro, Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator, and could grow into advanced motion graphics and storytelling (After Effects) as the role evolves. Role & Responsibilities: 1. Core Video Editing Work Edit short-form videos (Instagram Reels, Shorts, TikTok) and long-form videos (YouTube, webinars, interviews/podcasts) Cut talking-head videos to improve pacing, clarity, and retention Add captions, text overlays, b-roll, images, sound effects, and background music Incorporate motion graphics, animations, and visual effects where needed 2. Graphic Design Work Create engaging creatives for FB Ads, Insta Carousals, WhatsApp Campaign Creatives, PPT Presentations, etc. Design static graphics, infographics, banners, social media posts, thumbnails, presentations and promotional materials Develop visually appealing layouts, illustrations, and branding elements consistent with brand guidelines Produce animated graphics and simple motion designs to enhance videos and standalone campaigns 3. Platform Optimization Optimize edits and designs for: o Instagram (Reels, Stories, Carousels) o YouTube (Long-form & Shorts) o Facebook (Ads, Posts) o Other platforms (WhatsApp, etc.) Ensure correct aspect ratios, safe zones, resolutions, file formats, and export settings Tailor content to align with platform-specific attention spans and best practices 4. Workflow & Collaboration Work closely with the marketing team to understand briefs and objectives Implement feedback quickly and accurately on both video edits and graphic designs Manage multiple projects (videos and graphics) simultaneously without missing deadlines Maintain clean project files, organized assets, and consistent naming conventions Ensure brand consistency across all video and graphic outputs (tone, fonts, colors, visual style) Requirements: Knowledge Required Strong understanding of social media content formats Knowledge of Instagram & YouTube best practices Basic understanding of: o Hook creation o Viewer retention o Visual storytelling o Presentations Familiarity with: o Video codecs, formats, and compression o Audio levels and basic sound cleanup Awareness of copyright rules for music, footage, and assets Skills Required Must-Have Skills Adobe Premiere Pro (editing, cuts, captions, exports) Canva (graphics, text slides, thumbnails, overlays) Strong sense of timing, pacing, and flow Ability to follow brand guidelines and references precisely Good written communication (for understanding briefs & feedback) Good-to-Have / Future-Ready Skills Basic familiarity with Adobe After Effects (or willingness to learn) Experience with: o Motion text o Simple animations o YouTube thumbnails Understanding of storytelling for educational / informational content Expected Behaviour Deadline-driven: delivers work on time without reminders Feedback-positive: open to revisions without ego Detail-oriented: notices errors before they go live Ownership mindset: treats content quality as their responsibility Process-oriented: follows systems, naming conventions, and workflows Growth-minded: willing to improve skills as content quality scales Easy to work with: Friendly, positive & good natured
