About the Role
Softobiz is a technology firm. We build software and run dedicated offshore teams (Global Capability Centres) for international clients across multiple markets, across multiple projects and engagements.
Our delivery and GCC leads are player-coaches who run their teams and carry their own delivery work. This role provides the governance layer above them: a single, reliable view of delivery health across every project and GCC that leadership and clients can trust, together with the standards and resourcing discipline that keep the portfolio running smoothly. You set the standard for how Softobiz runs delivery, and you free the delivery leads to focus on delivery.
What You’ll Own
Portfolio Health & Reporting
- Own a single, consistent view of delivery health across all projects and GCCs: status, milestones, quality, and productivity
- Build and maintain the dashboards and reports that give leadership and clients an accurate, current picture
- Run the delivery review cadence and surface what needs attention before it becomes a problem
Resource & Capacity Planning
- Own delivery-demand forecasting across the portfolio: what skills are needed, where, and by when
- Set skill and certification targets across the portfolio, including the Azure and AWS partner-certification numbers needed to support project demand and partner-tier requirements, and hand execution to Operations
- Partner with Talent Acquisition on the supply side so hiring and ramp-ups stay ahead of demand (PMO owns demand, TA owns supply)
- Identify span-of-control and coverage gaps across the portfolio, where teams or people lack a clear delivery or people owner, and surface them to leadership
- Track utilization and flag over-allocation or under-allocation early
Delivery Risk Management
- Identify, track, and manage delivery risks across the portfolio, and maintain mitigation plans
- Escalate the right risks to leadership and clients at the right time, with no surprises
Delivery Standards & Ways of Working
- Define and maintain how Softobiz runs a project and a GCC: methodology, reporting standards, governance, and onboarding of new engagements
- Drive consistency so engagements run on a repeatable model rather than account-by-account improvisation
Support to Delivery Leads
- Give GCC leads and project managers the governance, reporting, and resourcing support they need to focus on their teams and their own delivery
- Be the connective tissue across engagements that no single lead can own
Process, Automation & AI
- Automate delivery reporting and governance workflows, and make practical use of AI to keep the portfolio view current without manual assembly
What Success Looks Like (First 6 to 12 Months)
- One trusted, regularly reported view of delivery health across every project and GCC
- A live resource and capacity plan that keeps staffing ahead of demand
- A working delivery risk view with mitigation plans, not surprises
- Consistent delivery standards adopted across engagements
- Delivery leads spending materially less time on governance and reporting, and leadership pulled into far fewer delivery escalations
What You Bring
Required
- 8 to 12 years in program or project management or PMO, with senior experience in a technology, GCC, or IT-services environment
- Proven ownership of delivery governance across a portfolio of projects or engagements, not a single project
- Strong resource and capacity planning experience
- Risk-management discipline across multiple concurrent engagements
- Strong reporting, dashboard, and stakeholder-communication skills, able to turn delivery data into a clear story
- Hands-on use of automation and AI tools to streamline reporting and governance
Good to have
- PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certifications
- Experience standing up or maturing a PMO from a low base
- Familiarity with structured delivery and reporting tooling
