Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Senior QA Engineer with 5+ years of experience in Manual and/or Automation Testing. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, test planning, defect management, API testing, and automation frameworks.
The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of web and software applications throughout the development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business and technical requirements and prepare detailed test scenarios and test cases.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, system, smoke, sanity, and usability testing.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts.
- Execute manual and automated test suites and analyze results.
- Identify, document, track, and verify software defects.
- Perform API testing using tools such as Postman or REST Assured.
- Perform cross-browser and responsive application testing.
- Work closely with developers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and other stakeholders.
- Participate in requirement reviews, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and Agile ceremonies.
- Maintain QA documentation including test plans, test cases, test reports, and defect reports.
- Perform regression testing for new releases and production deployments.
- Support continuous improvement of QA processes and automation coverage.
- Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines where required.
- Ensure applications meet functional, performance, security, and usability standards.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance / Testing.
- Strong experience in Manual Testing.
- Good experience in Automation Testing using tools/frameworks such as:
- Selenium WebDriver
- Playwright
- Cypress
- Appium
- TestNG / JUnit
- Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC.
- Experience in writing test cases, test scenarios, and test plans.
- Strong knowledge of defect lifecycle and bug tracking.
- Experience with JIRA, Azure DevOps, Bugzilla, or similar tools.
- Experience in REST API testing using Postman, REST Assured, or similar tools.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of SQL and database testing.
- Experience with Git or other version-control systems.
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodology.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience building or maintaining automation frameworks.
- Experience with Java, Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript for automation.
- Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter.
- Exposure to AWS, Azure, or other cloud environments.
- Experience testing web and mobile applications.
- Knowledge of basic security testing concepts.
- Experience working in Agile product-development environments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant QA/testing experience.
