Job Title: Cyber Security Officer

Job Summary
The Cyber Security Officer is responsible for implementing, managing, and monitoring cybersecurity technologies to protect the organization’s information systems, networks, and cloud environments. The role focuses on threat detection, incident response, and continuous improvement of the organization’s security posture.
Key Responsibilities
· Implement, configure, and manage cybersecurity technologies including firewalls, SIEM tools, IDS/IPS, and IDP solutions.
· Monitor security events using SIEM platforms, investigate alerts, and respond to incidents in a timely manner.
· Manage and maintain network security controls, including next-generation firewalls and intrusion prevention systems.
· Implement and oversee cloud security controls across cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), including IAM, logging, and security monitoring.
· Conduct security incident analysis, root cause investigations, and recommend corrective actions.
· Perform vulnerability assessments and support remediation efforts to reduce security risks.
· Develop, implement, and enforce information security policies, procedures, and standards.
· Ensure compliance with relevant security frameworks and regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR).
· Collaborate with IT, DevOps, and business teams to ensure secure system design and operations.
· Support security awareness initiatives and promote cybersecurity best practices across the organization.
Required Skills & Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
· Proven experience implementing and managing firewalls, SIEM, IDS/IPS, and identity protection solutions.
· Strong understanding of network security, threat detection, and incident response.
· Experience with cloud security architecture and controls.
· Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and standards.
· Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
· Professional certifications such as CEH, Security+, CISSP, CISM, or CCNP Security.
· Hands-on experience with leading SIEM and firewall technologies.
· Experience working in a SOC environment.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Mangalore, Karnataka (Mangalore): Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
