Position Overview
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Company Secretary (CS) Trainee to join our Secretarial and Compliance team. This role provides an excellent opportunity for aspiring Company Secretaries to gain practical exposure to corporate governance, statutory compliance, regulatory filings, board processes, and legal documentation in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
The CS Trainee will work closely with the Company Secretary and senior management, assisting in maintaining corporate records, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and supporting the smooth functioning of the organization's governance framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in ensuring compliance with the provisions of the Companies Act, applicable rules, and other corporate laws.
- Support the preparation and filing of statutory forms, returns, and other documents with regulatory authorities.
- Assist in organizing Board Meetings, Committee Meetings, Annual General Meetings (AGMs), and Extraordinary General Meetings (EGMs).
- Prepare drafts of meeting notices, agendas, board papers, minutes, and resolutions.
- Maintain and update statutory registers, records, and corporate documents.
- Assist in maintaining compliance calendars and monitoring statutory deadlines.
- Coordinate with internal departments to collect information required for statutory filings and compliance.
- Support the preparation of annual reports, corporate governance reports, and compliance certificates.
- Assist in maintaining records related to directors, shareholders, and corporate filings.
- Conduct legal and regulatory research on corporate law matters.
- Assist in drafting agreements, policies, and corporate documentation as required.
- Coordinate with auditors, legal consultants, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders when required.
- Ensure proper maintenance and confidentiality of corporate records and documents.
- Support due diligence activities and secretarial audits.
- Perform other secretarial and compliance-related assignments as delegated by the Company Secretary.
Required Qualifications
- Qualified Company Secretary Executive Programme or Professional Programme student under the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI).
- Candidates undergoing mandatory training as prescribed by ICSI are encouraged to apply.
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Law, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Basic understanding of the Companies Act, 2013, SEBI Regulations (where applicable), and corporate governance principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
