JOB SUMMARY
Chandna Land Limited is looking for a Group HR Manager to own the complete HR function across its three business verticals — Chandna Land Limited (real estate and industrial compliance advisory), Manish Chandna & Associates (Chartered Accountancy practice), and Urban King Hotel (hospitality, F&B, and banquets). The role requires someone who can operate across very different workforce profiles — corporate and field staff in real estate, articles and professional staff in the CA firm, and operational/hospitality staff at the hotel — while building one consistent, compliant, and well-governed HR system for the group. The Group HR Manager will report directly to the COO/MD and be the single point of accountability for recruitment, compliance, payroll oversight, performance management, and employee relations across all three entities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
▪ Own end-to-end recruitment and manpower planning across all three businesses — corporate, legal/land, sales, articles/CA staff, and hotel operations/kitchen/banquet teams
▪ Design and roll out group-wide HR policies, SOPs, and an employee handbook, adapted where needed for each business's specific requirements
▪ Standardize onboarding, offer letters, appointment letters, confirmation letters, and exit/full-and-final settlement processes across all entities
▪ Oversee payroll inputs and coordinate with the Finance team on salary processing, PF, ESI, and other statutory deductions for all three businesses
▪ Ensure statutory and labour law compliance across locations, including Shops & Establishment Act, PF, ESI, Gratuity, Minimum Wages, POSH, and other applicable regulations
▪ Build and administer performance management systems suited to each business — sales/target-based for CLL, quality/billable-hours based for the CA firm, and guest-service/operations based for Urban King Hotel
▪ Manage attendance, leave, and shift/roster systems across office and hotel locations
▪ Handle employee grievances, disciplinary matters, and conflict resolution with fairness and confidentiality
▪ Drive employee engagement, training, and development programs — including guest-service training for hospitality staff and technical/regulatory updates for compliance staff
▪ Maintain group HR MIS and provide regular headcount, attrition, and compliance reports to the COO/MD
▪ Manage relationships with recruitment agencies, background-verification vendors, and HRMS/payroll software providers
▪ Conduct periodic audits of HR records and compliance documentation across all three businesses
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
▪ MBA/PGDM in Human Resources or a related field
▪ 12-15 years of progressive HR generalist/HRBP experience; exposure to a multi-business or group-company structure strongly preferred
▪ Demonstrated experience managing both white-collar (professional services/corporate) and blue-collar/operational (hospitality) workforces is a strong advantage
▪ Sound working knowledge of labour laws applicable in Haryana and standard statutory compliance requirements
▪ Proficiency in HRMS/payroll software and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
▪ Strong drafting skills for policies, letters, and HR communication
CORE COMPETENCIES
▪ Excellent stakeholder management across diverse business verticals and personality types
▪ Strong communication skills in both Hindi and English
▪ High level of discretion, confidentiality, and integrity in handling sensitive employee matters
▪ Process-oriented, with the ability to standardize systems without ignoring business-specific realities
▪ Hands-on, field-ready approach — comfortable visiting hotel and site locations, not just working from a desk
▪ Strong conflict-resolution and employee-relations skills
▪ Ability to work independently and represent HR credibly to leadership across all three businesses
