Key Responsibilities
- Handle customer inquiries, shipment bookings and service requests for sea and air freight shipments.
- Coordinate with customers regarding shipment status, documentation, schedules, transit times and delivery arrangements.
- Obtain and process shipping instructions, commercial invoices, packing lists and other required documents.
- Coordinate with operations, documentation, sales, customs, transport and warehouse teams to ensure smooth shipment execution.
- Coordinate with shipping lines, airlines, overseas agents, consolidators and local transporters.
- Monitor shipment milestones from booking through arrival and final delivery.
- Provide customers with timely shipment status updates, ETD/ETA information and delivery updates.
- Follow up on delays, rollovers, flight changes, vessel schedules, documentation issues and other operational exceptions.
- Prepare and share quotations or freight-related information when required.
- Coordinate import and export shipments and ensure required documentation is available on time.
- Follow up on BL/AWB, arrival notices, delivery orders and other shipping documents.
- Liaise with customers and relevant internal teams regarding customs clearance and delivery requirements.
- Handle customer complaints professionally and coordinate corrective actions.
- Follow up on pending payments, documentation or operational requirements where applicable.
- Ensure customer requests are handled within agreed service levels.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing customers and support customer retention.
- Coordinate with overseas agents for international shipments and provide customers with end-to-end shipment visibility.
- Prepare regular shipment reports and operational updates for management.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and applicable UAE logistics, customs and shipping requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, Freight Forwarding, Business Administration or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in customer service/operations within freight forwarding or logistics.
- UAE experience in sea and/or air freight forwarding is preferred.
- Candidates with experience handling international customers and overseas agents will have an advantage.
Pay: From ₹15,000.00 per month
