Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Asst Manager / Manager Finance to support the finance team in Financial Reporting, Taxation, Accounts Payable (AP), month-end close activities, and SOX compliance. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing financial insights to management.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure Entity-Level Financial Compliance, Audit Coordination, and Financial Reporting:
- Oversee and ensure compliance with all India financial regulations, statutory requirements, and corporate reporting guidelines at the entity level including Corporate Tax, TDS, GST and others.
- Maintain adherence to Indian Financial Reporting Standards (IndAS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Ensure the timely submission of financial statements, tax fi lings (such as corporate income tax, GST, and TDS), and regulatory disclosures in accordance with company policies and Indian Income Tax Department regulations.
- Prepare and Analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements as per Indian regulatory and corporate standards.
- Support Global Finance team in preparation of India Financials for consolidation.
Manage Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), Cash Flow management:
- Oversee billing, collections, vendor payments, reconciliations, and cash fl ow management while ensuring adherence to Indian accounting and tax regulations.
- Ensure timely and accurate invoicing, credit control, and collections to optimize working capital.
- Manage local supplier payments, employee reimbursements, and vendor relationships, ensuring compliance with Indian tax laws, including TDS and GST obligations.
Coordinate Statutory and Internal Audits and Ensure Timely Completion of Audit Requirements:
- Plan, coordinate, and facilitate statutory, internal, and tax audits in compliance with Income Tax Department and the Ministry of Corporate Aff airs (MCA).
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records and reports, addressing any discrepancies identified in audits.
- Maintain proper financial documentation, accounting records, and supporting audit documentation for tax compliance.
- Implement audit recommendations and corrective actions based on findings to improve financial processes.
Ensure Accurate Tax Filings and Compliance:
Oversee the calculation, fi ling, and payment of corporate income tax, GST, TDS and other statutory dues in India.
- Ensure compliance with GST submissions, monthly and annual fi ling deadlines, handle refund application and reconciliations with the GST Department.
- Ensure compliance with Income-tax provisions, GST regulations, and transfer pricing rules
- Manage tax assessments, audits, and disputes, coordinating with Indian tax authorities and legal teams as required.
- Stay updated on changes in Indian tax laws, international taxation, and fi nancial regulations to mitigate risks and ensure compliance.
Work Closely with External Auditors, Tax Consultants, and Other Financial Service Providers:
- Collaborate with external auditors, tax consultants, banks, financial institutions, and government agencies to ensure full compliance with Indian regulations.
- Provide necessary financial data, tax reports, and explanations required by external stakeholders and government authorities.
- Work closely with legal, corporate, and compliance teams to address financial matters, tax implications, and risk management strategies in India.
Qualifications
Qualifications & Experience:
- Graduate/Postgraduate in Accounting, Commerce, or Finance.
- CA or semi-qualifi ed CA equivalent professional qualification preferred.
- Minimum Experience Required:
o CPA/CA: 7-10 years
o CPA/CA Inter: 7-15 years
o Graduates: 10-15 years
- Strong knowledge of Indian tax laws, corporate tax compliance, financial reporting, and auditing standards.
- Proficiency in Indian fi nancial reporting systems (e.g., Oracle NetSuite) and local ERP systems (Tally).
- Ability to handle multiple fi nancial functions in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in handling different types of transactions, prepare Financial Statements, Audit coordination, IFRS Reporting, problem solving.
- Experience with Financial reconciliations and end to end audit co-ordination.
- Ability to collaborate across departments and manage multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and co-ordination skills.
