Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated CAD Design Engineer to join our engineering team. The candidate will be responsible for creating detailed 2D and 3D engineering drawings, supporting product development, and coordinating with the production team to ensure accurate manufacturing of fabricated components and assemblies.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare 2D manufacturing drawings and 3D models using CAD software.
- Develop fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and BOMs (Bill of Materials).
- Interpret customer requirements and convert concepts into manufacturable designs.
- Coordinate with production, purchase, and quality teams during project execution.
- Ensure drawings comply with engineering standards and manufacturing feasibility.
- Revise and update drawings based on project changes and shop-floor feedback.
- Maintain design documentation and drawing records.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (Mandatory).
- Knowledge of SolidWorks / Creo is preferred.
- Understanding of sheet metal design, fabrication processes, welding, and assembly concepts.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Basic knowledge of GD&T and manufacturing tolerances.
- Good problem-solving and communication skills.
Qualification
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
- Freshers or candidates with 1–2 years of experience can apply.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in stainless steel fabrication, industrial equipment, material handling systems, or machine design will be an added advantage.
