Job Summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Sports Teacher to plan and conduct physical education classes, sports activities, and fitness programs for students. The ideal candidate should have good knowledge of various sports, strong communication skills, and the ability to motivate students to maintain an active and healthy lifestyle.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct physical education and sports classes for students.
- Teach students the rules, techniques, and skills of different sports.
- Organize and supervise sports events, competitions, and athletic activities.
- Develop students’ physical fitness, coordination, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
- Identify and encourage students with strong athletic abilities.
- Maintain discipline and ensure student safety during sports activities.
- Prepare students for inter-school and other sports competitions.
- Maintain sports equipment and ensure proper use and storage.
- Keep records of students’ participation and physical performance.
- Promote healthy lifestyle habits, fitness, and regular physical activity.
- Coordinate with other teachers, parents, and school management when required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education (B.P.Ed.) or a related field.
- Relevant sports coaching or teaching certification is an advantage.
- Good knowledge of multiple sports and physical fitness activities.
- Previous teaching or coaching experience is preferred.
Required Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and manage students.
- Good leadership and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of first aid and basic sports safety.
- Energetic, patient, responsible, and physically fit.
- Ability to organize sports events and competitions.
Working Conditions
The Sports Teacher will work both indoors and outdoors and may be required to supervise students during school hours, sports practices, competitions, and special athletic events.
