Our Umbergaon facility (Unit II) runs modern tube-making operations — melting, casting, extrusion, drawing, annealing, finning and finishing — serving HVAC, medical gas pipeline, plumbing and industrial applications. We invest in current manufacturing technology and in the people who run it, and we manage our operations on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
About the Role
This role owns the safety and security of the Umbergaon plant — its people, assets and premises — around the clock. You will lead the in-house security team, run day-to-day security operations and be the person the plant relies on when an emergency or an incident occurs. It is a role of real responsibility and visible ownership, well suited to a disciplined ex-serviceman who wants a structured second career in industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the security and safety of company premises, employees, visitors and assets across all shifts.
- Lead and supervise the in-house security guard force — deployment, attendance, discipline, grooming and performance.
- Prepare duty rosters, shift schedules and deployment plans and ensure full-strength coverage at all times.
- Control and monitor gate entry/exit, access control, visitor and vehicle movement, and inward/outward material movement against gate passes.
- Conduct security rounds and monitor CCTV, fire-safety and security systems; ensure they are functional and log faults.
- Run daily briefings, guard training and emergency-preparedness drills (fire, evacuation, medical).
- Maintain security registers, visitor records, gate-pass records and incident reports accurately and legibly.
- Handle fire, theft, accidents, unauthorised access and other emergencies, take immediate control and escalate correctly.
- Investigate incidents, establish cause, recommend preventive/corrective action and report findings to management.
- Coordinate with HR, Admin, Facilities, Police, Fire Services and Medical Services as required.
- Enforce compliance with company security SOPs, safety procedures and statutory requirements.

- Zero security breaches / unauthorised access incidents
- Full shift coverage (no un-deployed posts)
- CCTV & fire-system uptime and prompt fault escalation
- Emergency response time and drill compliance
- Accuracy and timeliness of incident reporting
- Material-movement control (gate-pass discipline, nil pilferage)
Educational Qualification
Graduate in any discipline preferred. Ex-servicemen with a strong service record and 10+2 will be considered. Valid security/fire-safety training certifications are an advantage.
Experience
Relevant experience in security supervision, plant/industrial security or defence/paramilitary service. Ex-Army / ex-paramilitary personnel strongly preferred.
