Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Retail POS Engineer / POS Integration Specialist with strong hands-on experience in Front Systems POS or similar enterprise retail POS platforms.
The ideal candidate will have solid experience in POS systems, retail store operations, POS integrations, checkout/payment workflows, promotions, omnichannel retail, and enterprise application integrations across ERP, eCommerce, CRM, Inventory, and Order Management platforms.
Mandatory Skills
- 5–8 years of experience in Retail Technology / POS Systems
- Hands-on experience with Front Systems POS or equivalent enterprise Retail POS platforms
- Strong understanding of:
- Retail store operations
- POS and checkout workflows
- Payment and transaction processing
- Promotions, discounts and pricing
- Store-level POS operations
- Experience integrating POS systems with:
- ERP
- eCommerce
- CRM
- Inventory Management
- Order Management Systems
- Strong experience with REST / SOAP APIs
- Good knowledge of JSON and XML
- Strong SQL and database knowledge
- Experience in L2/L3 production support
- Experience with POS implementation, deployment, upgrades or multi-store rollouts
- Strong troubleshooting and incident-resolution skills
Key Responsibilities
- Configure, customize, maintain and support Front Systems POS or equivalent retail POS solutions
- Design, develop and support integrations between POS and ERP, CRM, eCommerce, Inventory and Order Management systems
- Troubleshoot POS, API, integration, payment and transaction-related issues
- Provide L2/L3 production support for retail store applications
- Monitor and resolve POS and integration incidents within agreed SLAs
- Support POS deployments, upgrades, patches and multi-store rollouts
- Work closely with retail business teams to understand checkout, payment, promotion and store-operation requirements
- Analyze logs, API responses, database records and transaction flows to identify root causes
- Coordinate with development, infrastructure, integration and business teams for issue resolution
- Ensure stability, performance and availability of POS applications across stores
- Support integration testing, UAT, deployment and production validation activities
Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills
- Front Systems POS experience
- Middleware / Integration Platform experience
- Azure or AWS
- Omnichannel retail experience
- Multi-brand / multi-store retail environment experience
- Retail ERP integration experience
- Order Management / Inventory Management integration experience
- Experience with POS payment gateways and third-party payment systems
- Retail application monitoring and production support experience
