Position
Head of Department (HOD) – Computer Applications
Qualification
- Ph.D. is mandatory in Computer Applications, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a relevant discipline.
- Candidates should possess the required qualifications as per applicable UGC norms.
Experience
- Minimum 15+ years of experience in the academic field.
- Prior experience working as a Head of the Department (HOD) is mandatory.
- Strong experience in managing and leading a Computer Applications or related academic department.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Computer Applications Department and ensure effective academic and administrative functioning.
- Develop and implement departmental academic plans in alignment with institutional goals.
- Supervise, guide, and mentor faculty members to ensure quality teaching and academic performance.
- Monitor curriculum delivery, course planning, workload allocation, timetables, and academic schedules.
- Ensure effective delivery of undergraduate Computer Applications programmes.
- Monitor student academic performance and address academic concerns.
- Promote research, publications, consultancy, innovation, and other academic activities within the department.
- Encourage industry interaction, internships, projects, technical events, and skill-development initiatives.
- Coordinate with the Principal and management on departmental academic and administrative matters.
- Ensure proper maintenance of academic records, departmental documentation, reports, and compliance requirements.
- Support institutional accreditation and quality assurance activities, including NAAC and other regulatory requirements.
- Participate in faculty recruitment, performance evaluation, mentoring, and professional development initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with applicable UGC and institutional academic policies and guidelines.

Preferred Profile
We are seeking an experienced academic leader with 15+ years of experience, prior HOD experience, and a mandatory Ph.D. qualification, who can effectively lead and develop the Computer Applications Department.

Bengaluru, Karnataka
Salary
Best in the industry and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Pay: ₹80,000.00 - ₹120,000.00 per month
