Job Summary
The Social Worker will provide psychosocial support, counseling, guidance, and advocacy to patients and their families. The role involves connecting beneficiaries with government welfare schemes, healthcare facilities, NGOs, and community resources while supporting emergency healthcare services through effective coordination and documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess the social, emotional, financial, and environmental needs of patients and beneficiaries.
- Provide counseling, emotional support, and crisis intervention to patients and their families.
- Guide beneficiaries regarding government welfare schemes, health insurance, disability benefits, and other social support programs.
- Coordinate with hospitals, NGOs, government departments, charitable organizations, and community stakeholders.
- Conduct community outreach, awareness programs, health camps, and public education activities.
- Support rehabilitation and referral services for vulnerable individuals.
- Maintain beneficiary records, case files, reports, and MIS documentation.
- Conduct home visits and follow-up visits whenever required.
- Ensure confidentiality, ethical practices, and compliance with organizational policies.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly activity reports.
- Assist Operations and Management in project implementation and community engagement activities.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the reporting authority.
Qualification
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree .
Experience
- 1–7 years of experience in healthcare, emergency services, NGO, hospital, or community development projects.
Required Skills
- Good communication and counseling skills.
- Knowledge of government welfare schemes and social services.
- Strong interpersonal and coordination abilities.
- Computer proficiency (MS Office, Email, MIS).
- Ability to work in emergency situations and under pressure.
- Willingness to travel within the assigned area when required.
Preferred Candidate
- Experience in hospital social work, emergency medical services (108/102), public health, or community outreach projects.
- Knowledge of local language (Hindi) and basic English.
