Job Summary
We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Interior Designer to join our Yelahanka team. The candidate will be responsible for understanding client requirements, developing residential interior designs, preparing drawings and presentations, and coordinating with the execution team to ensure the approved design is implemented accurately.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet clients and understand their requirements, lifestyle, preferences and budget.
- Develop functional and aesthetically appealing residential interior designs.
- Prepare space planning, furniture layouts, elevations and detailed 2D drawings.
- Create and present 3D designs and design concepts to clients.
- Prepare design presentations, mood boards and material selections.
- Take accurate site measurements and conduct site visits whenever required.
- Prepare and review BOQ, quotations and material specifications.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Supervisors, vendors and execution teams.
- Ensure designs are practical, technically feasible and aligned with site conditions.
- Incorporate client feedback and complete design revisions within timelines.
- Coordinate with the execution team to ensure the final site execution matches the approved design.
- Maintain proper project documentation and design records.
- Handle multiple projects while ensuring quality and timely completion.
- Maintain strong client relationships throughout the design and execution process.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Good knowledge of SketchUp / 3D design software.
- Knowledge of residential interior materials, finishes, furniture and modular products.
- Good understanding of space planning and interior detailing.
- Strong client communication and presentation skills.
- Good coordination and time-management skills.
- Creative thinking with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work closely with site and project execution teams.
Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design, Architecture or a related field.
- 1–5 years of experience in residential interior design is preferred.
- Experience in modular / turnkey residential interiors will be an added advantage.
Preferred Candidate
- Candidates with hands-on experience in residential interior projects.
- Good client-handling and presentation abilities.
- Willingness to travel to project sites within Bangalore.
- Candidates who can independently manage design requirements from client briefing to design closure.
