Position Purpose
Support the optimization, stabilization, and documentation of production processes to improve safety, quality, delivery performance, and cost efficiency in a structured and data-driven way.
Key Responsibilities
Process Support & Stabilization
-
Monitor daily production performance (e.g. scrap, rework, cycle times, downtime) and support troubleshooting of process deviations.

Assist in root cause analysis (e.g. 5-Why, Ishikawa) and implement corrective and preventive actions.

Support line operators and shift leaders with process-related questions and issues.
Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement
-
Participate in improvement projects (e.g. yield improvement, throughput increase, setup time reduction).

Contribute to Lean / Kaizen activities (e.g. 5S, SMED, standard work, value stream improvements).

Collect and analyze production data to identify improvement potentials.
Process Documentation & Standardization
-
Create and update work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and process flow charts.

Support creation and maintenance of PFMEA, control plans, and process-related risk assessments.
-
Ensure documentation is compliant with internal standards and regulatory/customer requirements.
New Products / Changes in Production
-
Support industrialization of new products or product changes (e.g. trials, capability checks, ramp-up support).

Assist in validation of new equipment, tools, fixtures, and process parameters under guidance of senior engineers.

Participate in sampling runs and support preparation of documentation for approvals.
Quality & Compliance

Work closely with Quality, Maintenance, and Production to ensure processes meet quality standards.

Help define and maintain process control methods (e.g. check sheets, SPC charts, test plans).

Escalate quality and safety issues according to defined procedures.
Collaboration & Communication
-
Cooperate with cross-functional teams (Production, Quality, Maintenance, Logistics, R&D).

Contribute to shift handovers and daily/weekly shopfloor meetings with clear, fact-based reporting.

Support training of operators on new or updated processes and work instructions.
Qualifications
Education
-
Bachelor’s Engineering degree in Mechanical,Electronics & Communication Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
Experience
-
0–2 years experience in a manufacturing or production environment (internships / working student roles count).

Basic understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g. machining, assembly, coating, optical components, electronics – adapt as needed).
Technical Skills
-
Basic knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methods.
-
Familiarity with problem-solving methods (e.g. 5-Why, Ishikawa, PDCA).
-
Able to read and understand technical drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
-
Basic skills in data analysis (e.g. Excel, Minitab, or similar).
-
Advantageous: knowledge of SPC, FMEA, control plans, capability analysis.
Soft Skills

Structured, analytical, and hands-on working style.

Good communication skills and willingness to work on the shopfloor.

Proactive, open to learning, and able to work in cross-functional teams.
