About the Role:
We are looking for a motivated and technically skilled Engineer – Sheet Metal Design to join our design team. The candidate will be responsible for developing accurate 3D models, detailed drawings, and innovative sheet metal components while ensuring quality, manufacturability, and industry standards.
Job Responsibilities:
- Create 3D CAD models of sheet metal components and assemblies using Creo.
- Prepare detailed 2D drawings and manufacturing drawings for sheet metal parts.
- Develop sheet metal designs, bends, folds, and flat patterns as per requirements.
- Create sketches and designs for sheet metal manufacturing and fabrication.
- Interpret and understand engineering drawings, GD&T, dimensions, and tolerances.
- Ensure proper dimensioning and measurement of components.
- Prepare design analysis reports for critical and complex jobs.
- Analyze prototype data and make necessary design improvements or modifications.
- Research and implement new product ideas, materials, and design methods.
- Improve existing products and manufacturing processes for better quality and efficiency.
- Coordinate with production and manufacturing teams to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant quality, safety, and industry standards.
