This is an entry-level position designed for an aspiring journalist eager to learn the ropes of a modern newsroom. You will work under the guidance of senior editors to break news, tell compelling stories, and engage our local community across digital and print platforms.
- Source and Write: Identify, research, and write accurate news stories, features, and breaking news alerts.
- Interviewing: Conduct interviews with officials, community leaders, and local residents.
- Multimedia Coverage: Capture photos and basic video to accompany digital stories.
- Social Media: Help manage our social media presence by sharing live updates and engaging with readers.
- Education: A degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Writing Skills: Exceptional written English with the ability to write clean, concise copy under tight deadlines.
- Digital Savvy: Familiarity with Content Management Systems (CMS) and social media platforms.
- Nose for News: A natural curiosity and an understanding of what makes a story relevant to our audience.
- Mobility: A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle is preferred for on-the-ground reporting.
Pay: ₹9,307.78 - ₹15,000.00 per month
