About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Production Manager to lead and oversee Assembly Production operations. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical expertise in fabrication, welding, sheet metal manufacturing, production planning, and team management. The role demands a proactive leader capable of driving productivity, quality, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, implement, and monitor production schedules to ensure timely delivery of products.
- Assess project requirements and allocate resources effectively.
- Determine and manage manpower requirements to achieve production targets.
- Drive productivity improvement and cost-control initiatives across the production department.
- Monitor daily production performance and implement corrective actions where necessary.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain a zero-accident workplace culture.
- Implement and maintain IATF 16949 quality management standards.
- Standardize and continuously improve exhaust assembly and manufacturing processes.
- Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Purchase, and Stores departments for smooth production operations.
- Monitor machine utilization, downtime, and overall production efficiency.
- Lead, train, and develop production teams to achieve operational excellence.
- Ensure proper implementation of TPM and continuous improvement practices.
Required Skills
- Strong experience in Fabrication Operations.
- Expertise in Manual Welding and Robotic Welding.
- Sound knowledge of Machining Operations.
- Experience in the Sheet Metal Manufacturing Industry.
- TPM (Total Productive Maintenance).
- Production Planning & Control (PPC).
- Project Management.
- Team Leadership and People Management.
- Continuous Improvement & Lean Manufacturing Practices.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Candidate Profile
- Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 10–15 years of relevant experience in Production/Assembly Management.
- Experience in automotive, auto-component, exhaust systems, or sheet metal manufacturing industries preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle production targets, manpower planning, and process improvement initiatives.
Pay: ₹1,000,000.00 - ₹12,000,000.00 per year
