Fleet Maintenance & Repairs
- Coordinate scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance plans for heavy trucks and equipment.
- Prioritize urgent breakdowns to get commercial vehicles back on the road quickly.
- Oversee advanced diagnostics and complex mechanical or hydraulic repairs.
- Ensure all fleet vehicles comply with regional transport and safety regulations.
Team Leadership & Management
- Supervise heavy diesel mechanics, apprentices, and support staff.
- Assign daily tasks based on staff skill sets and workload priorities.
- Provide technical coaching, mentorship, and arrange ongoing training.
- Monitor team performance and address staffing needs.
Operations & Resource Control
- Manage spare parts inventory, tool replacement, and vendor relationships.
- Track operational budgets, labor costs, and repair expenditures.
- Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free workshop conditions.
- Maintain maintenance logs, compliance records, and digital tracking software.
