Job Title: Assistant Merchandiser (Apparel)

About the Role
We are hiring an Assistant Merchandiser (Apparel) for a reputed Buying House / Export House in South Delhi. The role involves supporting end-to-end merchandising activities and acting as a key coordination point between buyers and vendors/factories.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end buyer communication and coordination — from costing and order finalization through production and delivery
- Handle sampling processes: fit samples, PP samples, size sets, and approvals
- Coordinate with fabric, trims, embroidery, sampling, and production teams to ensure timely execution
- Track order status, WIP, and shipment plans; maintain accurate production records
- Follow up with multiple factories/vendors on production and delivery timelines
- Prepare and manage cost sheets, tech packs, and BOMs as per buyer specifications
- Conduct fit sessions and resolve production/quality issues proactively
- Ensure timely order execution while maintaining quality standards
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in Apparel/Garment Merchandising (Buying House or Export House background required—no leather or denim-only profiles)
- Strong knowledge of sampling, costing, order follow-ups, and production coordination
- Prior experience handling international buyers preferred
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage at a senior/strategic level, not just production coordination
- Exposure to high-fashion apparel is a plus
- Proficiency in MS Excel; knowledge of ERP tools (Ginesys, WFX, etc.) preferred
