We are seeking an experienced and talented Principal Full Stack Engineer to join our dynamic team and make a meaningful impact in the healthcare industry. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a pivotal role in the entire software development lifecycle, from conception to deployment and maintenance.
Successful candidate will be a technology champion, customer oriented, results driven and passionate about building great products and solutions used by big pharmaceutical companies. He/she should be experienced and hands-on, with the ability to assess different enterprise systems and propose adequate and efficient solutions to prevailing problems so as to improvise/improve them on non-functional and architectural aspects. He/she thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to be involved with real business problems.
Responsibilities:
- Hands on experience on building highly scalable enterprise grade cloud application with built in high availability and disaster recovery.
- Work with cross-functional team members from Architecture, Product Strategy/managers & Development, QA, Sales & Services, and other Central teams to architect and design multiple products
- Excellent in technical design, internally recognized as highly competent in technical areas, will review and participate in product architecture and design
- Lead the design and development of new software components and features, ensuring they meet high-quality standards.
- Passionate for continuous learning, experimenting and applying cutting edge technology and software paradigms
- Deeper understanding of design principles and methods, technology and standards, actively stay abreast of trends and standards, recommend best practices and share learning
- Take ownership of deploying new code to production environments, working closely with the team to ensure seamless releases.
- Participate in the day-to-day operations of the services you help create, providing ongoing support and maintenance.
- Engage in all phases of the software development process, from ideation to delivery.
Qualifications:
- BS/MS in Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent.
- Minimum 8 years of professional experience in designing and developing complex software systems using Java-based platforms & cloud applications
- Object Oriented Design & Development skills with hands on experience in enterprise cloud application design, micro service development and deployment.
- Solid programming experience and very strong in programming disciplines like object oriented principles, design patterns, data structures and unit testing
- Expert knowledge of Java/JEE technologies and frameworks such as JPA, JDBC, Web Services paradigms like REST/SOAP.
- Must have experience working with RDBMS, SQL or no-SQL databases, preferably Oracle
- Expertise in at least one of the following: Oracle JET, JQuery, Knockout JS, Preact/React, LESS/SASS.
- Must have experience working with Tomcat Application server
- Experience on container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience on technologies like Apache Zookeper, Spark or Kafka will be added advantage
- Good to have experience using a Profiling tool such as JProfiler
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, changing environment
- Excellent time management and communication skills and a great team player
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with massively scalable systems and handling big data is advantageous.
- Familiarity with healthcare systems or medical data would be an added asset.
- Knowledge of distributed computing, storage replication, and data planes is a plus.
