Haircut Groomer | Pet Clinic/Salon | Location: Bangalore
Role: Responsible for professional haircuts, trimming, and styling for pets while ensuring their safety, comfort, and breed-appropriate finish.
Key Responsibilities:
Haircuts & Styling: Perform breed-specific cuts, trimming, scissoring, and styling based on owner requests or breed standards
Pre-Cut Prep: Brush out coats, demat where possible, and prep pets for haircut after bath/dry by grooming helper
Pet Handling: Safely handle all breeds/sizes, including anxious or matted pets, using proper restraint techniques
Quality Check: Ensure symmetrical, clean finish with no nicks/cuts. Check sanitary, paw, and face trims
Skin/Coat Check: Spot ticks, mats, skin issues during haircut and report to vet/senior staff
Tool Maintenance: Clean, sanitize, and maintain clippers, scissors, blades after each use
Customer Service: Consult with pet parents on haircut style, coat condition, and home maintenance tips
Support: Coordinate with bath team and maintain a calm, stress-free environment for pets
Requirements:
Prior experience in pet haircutting and styling preferred
Strong knowledge of breed-specific cuts and scissor/clipper techniques
Patient, pet-friendly attitude with excellent handling skills
Physically fit to stand for long hours and lift pets up to 20-25 kg
Certification in pet grooming is an added advantage
Willing to work in shifts/weekends
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
