- Conducting microbiological testing and analysis on samples such as water, food, pharmaceuticals, or clinical specimens.
- Identifying, classifying, and studying bacteria, viruses, fungi, and other microorganisms to determine their characteristics.
- Performing laboratory experiments to assess the effects of microorganisms on human health, products, and the environment.
- Developing and optimising microbial culture techniques, staining procedures, and DNA/RNA analysis.
- Monitoring microbial growth and resistance patterns for research or quality control purposes.
- Ensuring compliance with safety protocols, biosafety regulations, and industry standards.
- Documenting and reporting findings, as well as maintaining accurate laboratory records for further analysis.
- Collaborating with research teams, healthcare professionals, or industry partners to advance microbiological studies.
- Required skills and qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Microbiology, Biotechnology, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in a microbiology laboratory, research facility, quality control, or industry setting.
- Strong knowledge of microbial culturing techniques, aseptic handling, laboratory safety, and microbiological techniques.
- Proficiency in molecular biology techniques, PCR, ELISA, and microbial identification methods.
- Experience using automated laboratory equipment and bioinformatics tools.
- Knowledge of biosafety protocols and laboratory regulations in India.
- Knowledge of ISO, GMP, and regulatory guidelines for microbiological testing.
- Experience with data analysis and scientific reporting.
- Attention to detail, critical thinking, and strong analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently or within a cross-functional research team.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
