We are seeking a Team Lead – Loan Processing who will be responsible for managing end-to-end loan processing operations, including loan onboarding through to closing. The role requires strong hands-on expertise in mortgage processing functions such as indexing, initial disclosures, third-party orders, pre-qualification, and submission documentation. You will collaborate with title companies for title fees, release Initial Closing Disclosures (CD), and manage components such as fees, taxes, insurance, and escrow collection. In addition to process expertise, the role demands strong team management, reporting, data analysis, and continuous process improvement capabilities.
- Supervise daily production workflows and manage work queues to ensure efficiency and SLA adherence
- Provide floor support and assist team members with process-related queries
- Identify and review loan packages to ensure completeness and compliance
- Conduct regular feedback and coaching sessions for team members
- Organize refresher training sessions to enhance team performance and knowledge
- Monitor team performance and ensure achievement of daily targets and service levels
- Maintain and publish reports in line with organizational standards
- Analyze data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for process improvements
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including clients and title companies
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and guidelines
- Handle escalations and ensure timely resolution of issues
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management
- Graduate in any discipline
- Minimum 4+ years of experience in US mortgage loan processing
- Prior experience in team handling or supervisory role preferred
- Strong knowledge of end-to-end loan processing and closing activities
- Proficiency in multiple Loan Origination Systems (LOS) and interpretation of AUS findings
- Thorough understanding of Conventional and Government loan guidelines
- Knowledge of documentation requirements and fraud detection in loan processing
- Familiarity with US federal and state regulatory compliance requirements
- Ability to review and validate all components of a loan file
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Good aptitude for numbers and data analysis
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
