The Operational Risk Management (ORM) organization within Global Risk and Compliance (GRC) is responsible for conducting independent oversight and testing to assess operational risk across all business units, functions, processes and geographies at American Express. The objective of the Financial Reporting Risk Oversight team within ORM is to provide independent oversight of financial reporting risks, strengthen governance practices, and support consistent execution of the Financial Reporting Risk Oversight practices across the enterprise
The Analyst – Financial Reporting Risk Oversight will support the execution and continuous enhancement of the Financial Reporting Risk Oversight function. Reporting to the Manager, Financial Reporting Risk Oversight, this role will support the effective challenge activities related to processes involved in producing and filing US regulatory reports and assisting with governance and control activities. The role requires close collaboration with stakeholders across business units and reporting functions to promote consistent application of oversight procedures, ensure adherence to policy and governance requirements, and support informed risk management and decision-making.
