About the Role
Sree Sivani Multispeciality Hospital is looking for compassionate, skilled, and dedicated Staff Nurses to join our Nursing Department. The selected candidates will provide high-quality patient care in the General Ward, Intensive Care Unit (ICU), and Emergency Room (ER), ensuring patient safety, clinical excellence, and compliance with NABH standards.
Key Roles & ResponsibilitiesGeneral Nursing Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, ethical, and patient-centered nursing care.
- Assess, monitor, and document patients' clinical conditions.
- Administer medications accurately by following the Rights of Medication Administration.
- Monitor and record vital signs, intake/output, and patient progress.
- Maintain complete and accurate nursing documentation.
- Assist doctors during examinations, procedures, and ward rounds.
- Educate patients and their families regarding treatment, medications, and discharge instructions.
- Ensure infection prevention and control practices are followed at all times.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold professional ethics.
- Participate in shift handovers and communicate patient status effectively.
- Ensure proper functioning of medical equipment and report any faults immediately.
Ward Nurse Responsibilities
- Perform admission and discharge procedures.
- Provide routine nursing care, including hygiene, wound care, IV therapy, catheter care, and feeding assistance.
- Monitor patients' recovery and promptly report any deterioration.
- Prepare patients for diagnostic tests and surgical procedures.
- Coordinate with consultants and other departments to ensure continuity of care.
ICU Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide continuous monitoring of critically ill patients.
- Manage ventilators, infusion pumps, and other critical care equipment.
- Monitor ECG, oxygen saturation, blood pressure, urine output, and neurological status.
- Administer emergency and high-alert medications safely.
- Assist with intubation, central line insertion, CPR, and other critical care procedures.
- Maintain accurate ICU flow sheets and hourly documentation.
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse Responsibilities
- Perform triage and prioritize patients based on the severity of their condition.
- Provide immediate emergency nursing care.
- Assist in trauma management, resuscitation, and life-saving procedures.
- Administer emergency medications and oxygen therapy.
- Perform IV cannulation, ECG, blood sample collection, wound dressing, and splinting.
- Ensure crash cart, defibrillator, oxygen supply, and emergency equipment are always ready for use.
Qualifications
- GNM, B.Sc. Nursing, or Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing.
- Valid Nursing Council Registration.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience candidates are welcome to apply.
- ICU, ER, or critical care experience will be an added advantage.
Required Skills
- Strong clinical and patient assessment skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Knowledge of infection control and patient safety protocols.
- Ability to work efficiently in a multidisciplinary team.
- Sound clinical judgment and emergency response skills.
- Good documentation and record-keeping practices.
- Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with Hospital Information Systems (HIS) is preferred.
- Willingness to work rotational shifts, weekends, and holidays.
