Key Responsibilities
1. Production Planning & Execution
- Execute daily and weekly production plans as per dispatch schedules.
- Supervise processes including gravity casting/forging, machining, buffing, polishing, electroplating (nickel-chrome), assembly, and packaging.
- Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, machines, and raw materials.
- Monitor shift-wise output and productivity.
- Coordinate with maintenance team to minimize machine downtime.
2. Electroplating & Surface Finish Control
- Oversee chrome plating operations (Nickel + Chrome layers).
- Monitor plating parameters such as current density, temperature, pH levels, and bath composition.
- Ensure uniform coating thickness and mirror finish quality.
- Reduce rejection due to peeling, pitting, blistering, and uneven coating.
3. Quality Assurance
- Ensure products meet company and industry standards (coating thickness, corrosion resistance, finish quality).
- Coordinate with QC team for salt spray testing and adhesion testing.
- Analyze rejection reports and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain production and quality documentation.
4. Team Management
- Supervise machine operators, polishers, plating operators, and assembly workers.
- Conduct shift briefings and assign daily tasks.
- Ensure discipline, productivity, and adherence to SOPs.
- Train workers on safety and process standards.
5. Safety & Compliance
- Ensure proper handling of chemicals used in electroplating (acids, nickel, chromium).
- Enforce PPE usage and chemical safety procedures.
- Ensure compliance with environmental and pollution control norms.
- Maintain 5S standards on shop floor.
6. Inventory & Material Control
- Monitor consumption of brass castings, chemicals, polishing materials, and packaging materials.
- Control wastage and reduce process losses.
- Coordinate with stores for material availability.
7. Continuous Improvement
- Implement Lean and Kaizen initiatives.
- Work on productivity improvement and cost reduction.
- Optimize cycle time and plating efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Production / Metallurgy / Industrial Engineering.
- 2–8 years of experience in bath fittings or electroplating industry.
- Knowledge of machining and polishing operations.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
