Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat dental conditions such as cavities, gum disease, and oral infections.
- Perform routine dental examinations, cleanings, fillings, and extractions.
- Conduct advanced procedures like root canals, crowns, and cosmetic dentistry.
- Develop and implement individualised treatment plans.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, preventive care, and lifestyle habits affecting dental health.
- Work with dental assistants, hygienists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Refer patients to specialists (orthodontists, periodontists, oral surgeons) when needed.
- Maintain detailed patient records of treatments and progress.
- Ensure adherence to dental council regulations and ethical standards.
- Stay updated on new dental technologies, materials, and procedures.
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree from a recognized institution.
•Must hold a valid dental license issued by the Dental Council of India (DCI) or relevant authority.
- Strong knowledge of dental sciences and surgical procedures.
- Manual dexterity and precision for performing dental treatments.
- Good communication skills for patient interaction and education.
- Ability to manage dental emergencies and pain control.
Experience
- Internship experience is mandatory.
- Prior clinical practice or work in a hospital/clinic setting is preferred.
