Job Title: Truck Load Billing Supervisor
Location: Mysore
Experience: 4–8 Years (Logistics / Transportation Billing)
Job Summary:
We are looking for a Truck Load Billing Supervisor to lead and oversee end-to-end billing operations for FTL shipments. The role involves managing a team, ensuring accurate and timely invoices, handling escalations, and driving process improvements in billing and collections.
Key Responsibilities:
Billing Operations
- Supervise end-to-end billing for FTL shipments
- Ensure accurate invoice generation based on contracts, rate cards, and trip data
- Validate freight rates, accessorial charges (detention, layover, TONU, etc.)
- Ensure timely billing as per TAT and client SLAs
Team Management
- Lead and manage a team of billing executives
- Allocate work, track daily productivity, and ensure deadlines are met
- Train new team members and conduct regular performance reviews
Coordination & Escalation Handling
- Coordinate with Operations, Dispatch, and Accounts teams for smooth billing
- Handle client queries and escalations related to invoices
- Ensure POD collection and closure before billing
Process & Compliance
- Maintain billing accuracy and audit readiness
- Ensure adherence to company policies and client agreements
- Identify and implement process improvements/automation
Reporting & MIS
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly billing reports
- Track KPIs like billing TAT, error rate, pending PODs, and revenue leakage
- Share insights with management for decision-making
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of FTL billing & freight calculations
- Experience with rate cards, contracts, and client billing formats
- Good hands-on experience in Excel (Pivot, VLOOKUP, basic MIS)
- Familiarity with TMS/ERP systems
- Strong leadership and team handling skills
- Good communication and stakeholder management
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.Com / BBA / Any Graduate)
- Relevant experience in logistics / supply chain billing
