Position: Manager – Production / Senior Production Engineer / Production Lead
Location: Bengaluru (Whitefield)

Reporting To: Plant Head / Head – Operations
CTC: Up to ₹12 LPA (depending on experience and suitability)
Role Summary
The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day production activities, ensuring adherence to production schedules, achieving output targets, maintaining quality standards, and managing shop-floor manpower. The role requires hands-on experience in machining, fabrication, assembly, and manufacturing operations within a heavy engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and monitor daily production activities to achieve production targets.
- Ensure timely completion of manufacturing orders as per production schedules.
- Supervise machining, fabrication, assembly, and testing activities on the shop floor.
- Monitor productivity, quality, material utilization, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate with Planning, Stores, Purchase, Quality, Design, and Maintenance departments to ensure smooth production flow.
- Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machines, tools, and equipment.
- Identify production bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency.
- Monitor rejection, rework, and wastage levels and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, work instructions, SOPs, and safety requirements.
- Conduct daily production reviews and maintain production records and MIS reports.
- Lead and guide supervisors, operators, technicians, and workmen to achieve departmental objectives.
- Support implementation of 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and productivity improvement initiatives.
- Maintain shop-floor discipline and adherence to company policies.
Educational Qualification
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or Production Engineering.
Experience
- 15 to 20 years of relevant experience in production and manufacturing operations.
- Experience in heavy engineering, railway equipment, locomotive manufacturing, gearboxes, transmissions, industrial machinery, fabrication, machining, or capital equipment manufacturing preferred.
- Hands-on exposure to CNC machining, fabrication, assembly, and shop-floor operations is essential.
- Experience in handling production teams, operators, and workmen in a manufacturing environment.
