Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the daily operations of the linen room and laundry services.
- Ensure timely collection, sorting, washing, ironing, folding, and distribution of hospital linen.
- Maintain adequate stock levels of bed sheets, pillow covers, blankets, gowns, towels, OT linen, and other hospital textiles.
- Monitor linen inventory and conduct periodic stock verification.
- Coordinate with housekeeping, nursing, OT, ICU, wards, and other departments to meet linen requirements.
- Inspect linen quality and identify damaged or worn-out items for repair or replacement.
- Maintain records of linen issuance, returns, losses, and condemnation.
- Ensure compliance with hospital infection prevention and control (IPC) guidelines during linen handling.
- Supervise and train laundry and linen attendants on standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure proper segregation and handling of soiled and infected linen.
- Monitor the performance of outsourced laundry vendors, if applicable.
- Ensure proper maintenance and safe operation of laundry equipment.
- Implement measures to minimize linen loss and improve operational efficiency.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on linen usage, inventory, and operational activities.
- Follow hospital safety, hygiene, and quality standards at all times.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management, Hospital Administration, or any graduate degree.
- Certification in Housekeeping or Laundry Management is an added advantage.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
