The Field Service and Flight Ops Department within the Civil Engines Customer Support Division brings together an international team of Field Service Engineers (FSEs) deployed as close as possible to our customers' operations: airlines and engine repair shops.
In an environment where our customers' flight activities are growing and constantly evolving, we must adapt our local support to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by providing technical assistance for optimized operations.
This FSE position will be based in Mumbai, India, supporting customers operating CFM56 and LEAP engines. Over time, the role may also include remote support for other customers in the region.
As a Field Service Engineer, you will represent Safran Aircraft Engines/CFM, providing technical support for CFM products in accordance with contractual agreements.
Main Responsibilities:
After an initial training period in Delhi and/or at another customer base alongside an experienced FSE, your key missions will include:
- Acting as the 24/7 communication link between supported customers and the
OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer), serving as the primary CFM interface.
- Building and maintaining a professional and trusting relationship with customers.
- Listening to customers, understanding their challenges, and proposing solutions
in coordination with the customer team.
- Providing technical support, including recommendations, troubleshooting
assistance, and guidance on technical documentation and tools.
- Actively participating in the Customer Team activities, in coordination with the
Customer Support Manager (CSM) or Customer Program Manager (CPM).
- Coordinating fleet plans and OEM services for customers.
- Reporting customer satisfaction insights in alignment with the CSM or CPM.
- Anticipating and alerting the OEM or Services team to any imminent crisis
situations.
- Supporting sales campaigns (products and services) and promoting Services in
line with sales strategy.
- Accurately reporting all operational data in dedicated IT tools.
