ROLE SUMMARY
The HR Generalist is responsible for managing the full spectrum of human resources operations, serving as the primary point of contact for employees and management on all HR-related matters. This role supports the organization's people strategy by ensuring smooth execution of HR processes across recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance, compliance, and payroll.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
- Manage end-to-end recruitment: job postings, screening, interviewing, and offer management
- Coordinate onboarding and induction programs for new hires
- Maintain job descriptions and ensure role clarity across departments
Employee Relations & Engagement
- Act as the first point of contact for employee queries, grievances, and concerns
- Facilitate conflict resolution and disciplinary processes in line with policy
- Drive employee engagement initiatives, surveys, and feedback mechanisms
Performance Management
- Support performance review cycles, goal-setting frameworks, and appraisal processes
- Coach managers on performance feedback, PIPs, and development planning
- Track and report on performance metrics and trends
Payroll & Benefits Administration
- Coordinate monthly payroll inputs with the finance/payroll team
- Administer employee benefits — health insurance, leaves, reimbursements, and statutory filings
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of attendance and leave records
HR Compliance & Policy
- Ensure compliance with applicable labor laws (e.g., PF, ESI, Gratuity, Shops & Establishments Act)
- Maintain and update HR policies, employee handbook, and SOPs
- Handle statutory audits, documentation, and returns as required
HR Data & Reporting
- Maintain accurate employee records in HRMS/HRIS systems
- Prepare regular HR reports: headcount, attrition, hiring pipeline, leave utilization
- Support HR audits and periodic management reporting
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Education
- MBA / PGDM in Human Resources or equivalent (preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline with relevant HR certification considered
Experience
- 2–5 years of HR generalist experience covering multiple HR functions
- Exposure to working in a fast-paced, mid-size to large organization preferred
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of Indian labor laws and statutory compliance
- Proficiency in HRMS tools (e.g., Darwinbox, Keka, Zoho People, GreytHR)
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills
- High attention to detail with strong organizational ability
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive matters with discretion
- Proficient in MS Office / Google Workspace — Excel, Sheets, and data reporting

- Time-to-hire and offer acceptance rate
- Onboarding satisfaction score (New hire feedback)
- Attrition rate and retention metrics
- Payroll accuracy and processing timeliness
- Compliance audit results — zero critical non-compliances
- Employee grievance resolution TAT (Turnaround Time)

Pay: ₹12,605.45 - ₹38,000.00 per month
