Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Purchase Manager to lead end-to-end procurement and store operations for engineering products. The ideal candidate will be responsible for vendor development, strategic sourcing, procurement planning, import coordination, inventory control, and store management while ensuring timely procurement, cost optimization, quality compliance, and uninterrupted material availability for production.
Key Roles
- Manage end-to-end procurement activities for engineering products.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Develop sourcing strategies and procurement processes.
- Monitor and improve procurement KPIs and supplier performance.
- Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.
- Ensure timely availability of materials to support production schedules.
- Lead and manage the Store Department, including inventory planning, stock accuracy, material movement, and warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Purchase Management
- Manage timely and cost-effective procurement of raw materials, bought-out components, consumables, and engineering products.
- Generate purchase orders and ensure on-time delivery from suppliers.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and contracts.
- Coordinate with Production, Planning, Design, Quality, and Finance departments to meet procurement requirements.
- Ensure uninterrupted material availability for production.
2. Vendor Development
- Identify, evaluate, and develop new suppliers.
- Conduct supplier assessments and periodic performance evaluations.
- Build long-term strategic relationships with key suppliers.
- Ensure supplier compliance with company quality standards and delivery commitments.
3. Vendor Performance Management
- Monitor supplier delivery performance and DPPM (Defective Parts Per Million).
- Prepare monthly supplier performance reports and scorecards.
- Drive supplier improvement initiatives through regular reviews.
- Coordinate corrective and preventive actions to achieve zero-defect supplies.
4. Import & Export (IMPEX) Coordination
- Handle procurement of imported components and coordinate with overseas suppliers.
- Manage import documentation, customs clearance support, and shipment tracking.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, CHA, and logistics partners.
- Ensure timely receipt of imported materials while complying with statutory requirements.
5. Quality & Process Improvement
- Conduct supplier audits and quality improvement activities.
- Perform root cause analysis for supplier quality issues.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions with suppliers.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement efficiency.
6. Procurement Strategy & Documentation
- Develop procurement policies, sourcing strategies, and standard operating procedures.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process optimization.
- Maintain procurement documentation, vendor records, audit reports, and MIS reports.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and company procurement policies.
7. Store Department Management
- Manage day-to-day operations of the Store Department.
- Ensure proper receipt, storage, preservation, and issue of materials.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counting and stock verification.
- Monitor minimum, maximum, and reorder stock levels.
- Coordinate with Production and Planning to ensure timely material availability.
- Minimize inventory carrying costs while avoiding stock shortages.
- Ensure proper documentation of GRN, material issue notes, stock transfers, and inventory transactions.
- Maintain housekeeping, safety standards, and statutory compliance within the store.
- Supervise store personnel and improve warehouse efficiency through best inventory management practices.

Pay: ₹480,000.00 - ₹520,000.00 per year
