Job Summary
We are looking for a proactive and experienced Dark Store Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of dark store. The ideal candidate will be responsible for warehouse operations, inventory management, order fulfillment, dispatch planning, logistics coordination, team leadership, and operational excellence while ensuring high service levels and inventory accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage complete dark store operations and ensure smooth daily functioning.
- Ensure timely receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch of customer orders.
- Maintain high inventory accuracy through regular stock reconciliation and cycle counts.
- Monitor stock availability and prevent stock-outs, overstocking, and inventory losses.
- Implement FIFO and FEFO practices to minimize expiry and product wastage.
- Ensure proper storage conditions for groceries, pulses, spices, and other food products.
- Monitor warehouse hygiene, pest control, cleanliness, and safety standards.
- Coordinate with procurement and suppliers for timely inward of inventory.
- Supervise order fulfillment to achieve defined turnaround time and accuracy targets.
- Manage dispatch planning and coordinate with third-party logistics partners.
- Oversee the operations of COWBERRY's dedicated delivery vehicle and driver.
- Optimize delivery routes to improve delivery efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Lead, train, motivate, and monitor warehouse staff and delivery personnel.
- Prepare manpower schedules and ensure optimum workforce utilization.
- Monitor daily productivity and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Conduct regular stock audits and investigate inventory discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with company SOPs, FSSAI regulations, and warehouse safety standards.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports for management.
- Coordinate with Sales, Procurement, Finance, and Customer Support teams to ensure seamless operations.
- Control operational expenses while maintaining service quality.
- Resolve operational issues promptly to ensure uninterrupted business operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Management, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
- Certification in Warehouse Management or Supply Chain Management will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in Dark Store Operations, Warehouse Management, Grocery Retail, FMCG, Supermarket Operations, E-commerce, or Quick Commerce.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Local resident with strong knowledge of city routes and delivery networks.
- Experience in FMCG, grocery retail, supermarket, or quick-commerce operations.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage warehouse teams.
- Hands-on approach to operations and problem-solving.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹450,000.00 per year
