Job Description
We are looking for a responsible and hardworking Packing Operator to handle garment checking, folding, packing, labelling, barcode verification, and final dispatch preparation.
The Packing Operator will be responsible for ensuring that the correct product, size, colour, quantity and label are packed according to company and marketplace requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive finished garments from the production / finishing department.
- Check garments before packing for visible defects, stains, damages or incorrect items.
- Verify Product, Style, Size, Colour and Quantity before packing.
- Fold garments properly according to the required packing standard.
- Insert garments into the correct polybag / packing cover.
- Attach or verify barcode labels, MRP labels, size stickers and product labels.
- Scan barcodes wherever required for stock or order processing.
- Ensure the barcode and label match the actual product being packed.
- Pack products according to single-piece, combo or set requirements.
- Prepare products for e-commerce marketplace orders and warehouse dispatch.
- Maintain proper packing quality and presentation.
- Count packed quantities and report them correctly to the supervisor.
- Separate damaged, defective or mismatched products and report them immediately.
- Avoid mixing different sizes, colours, styles or SKUs.
- Maintain packing materials such as covers, labels, stickers and cartons properly.
- Keep the packing table and working area clean and organized.
- Follow daily packing targets and production schedules.
- Assist with carton packing, quantity verification and dispatch preparation when required.
- Follow company SOPs and instructions given by the Packing Supervisor / Production Team.
Required Skills
- Basic reading and counting ability.
- Ability to identify sizes, colours, product codes and labels.
- Good attention to detail.
- Ability to work accurately in repetitive packing work.
- Basic barcode scanner knowledge is an advantage.
- Ability to work as part of a production and warehouse team.
- Willingness to learn company packing and quality procedures.
Qualification
- 8th / 10th / 12th Pass or above.
- Freshers can apply.
- Previous experience in garment packing, textile units, warehouses or e-commerce packing will be an advantage.
Key Performance Expectations
The employee should maintain:
- Correct product packing.
- Correct size and colour verification.
- Correct barcode and MRP label verification.
- Minimum packing errors.
- Minimum product damage.
- Good packing quality.
- Achievement of daily packing targets.
- Proper handling and accountability of packed quantities.
Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
