Commis I (Kitchen)
Job Summary:
Independently handle food preparation and cooking within the assigned section, ensuring quality, consistency, and compliance with food safety standards while supporting junior kitchen staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, cook, and present food items according to established recipes and standards.
- Manage daily operations of the assigned kitchen section under chef supervision.
- Ensure consistent food quality, taste, and presentation.
- Maintain food safety, hygiene, and storage standards at all times.
- Monitor inventory usage and minimize food wastage.
- Support training and supervision of Commis II and Commis III staff.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Hotel Management, Catering Technology, Culinary Arts, or a related field (mandatory).
- 2–5 years of kitchen experience in hotels, restaurants, or catering operations.
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, food production, and kitchen operations.
- Ability to work independently and handle operational pressure.
- Good leadership, teamwork, and organizational skills.
Reports To: Chef de Partie / Sous Chef / Junior Sous Chef
Job Type: Permanent
Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
