Position Summary:
Karveer Logistics Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a dynamic and result-oriented Marketing Manager (Chemicals & Petrochemicals Logistics) to drive business growth by acquiring transportation orders from chemical and petrochemical industries while ensuring vehicle availability through strategic sourcing of market tankers whenever the company's owned fleet is unavailable. The ideal candidate should possess strong industry relationships with manufacturing companies, transporters, tanker owners, and logistics service providers.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development & Marketing
- Generate transportation business from Chemical, Petrochemical, Polymer, Solvent, Oil, and Bulk Liquid customers.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities to increase freight volumes and revenues.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in target industries.
- Conduct regular customer visits and presentations to promote KLPL's logistics services.
- Prepare and submit quotations, proposals, and freight rate offers.
- Negotiate contracts, freight rates, and commercial terms with customers.
- Participate in RFQs, tenders, and annual rate contract opportunities.
- Gather market intelligence regarding competitors, freight trends, and customer requirements.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual business targets.
Tanker Procurement & Capacity Management
- Arrange suitable market tankers when company-owned vehicles are not available.
- Develop and maintain a strong network of tanker operators, fleet owners, transport brokers, and logistics partners.
- Negotiate competitive hiring rates for market vehicles to maximize profitability.
- Ensure timely placement of tankers as per customer requirements.
- Monitor tanker availability and market freight trends.
- Maintain a reliable vendor database for immediate vehicle sourcing.
- Evaluate transporter performance and ensure service quality standards are maintained.
Customer Relationship Management
- Maintain excellent customer satisfaction through timely service delivery.
- Resolve customer complaints and service-related issues promptly.
- Build long-term relationships with existing customers to increase repeat business.
- Coordinate closely with operations and fleet teams to ensure smooth execution of transportation assignments.
Operations Coordination
- Liaise with operations, dispatch, and fleet teams for efficient vehicle deployment.
- Monitor load planning and vehicle utilization.
- Ensure transportation activities comply with applicable safety and regulatory requirements for chemical transportation.
- Support timely documentation, billing, and collection activities whenever required.
Market Intelligence & Reporting
- Track industry developments and emerging business opportunities in the Chemicals & Petrochemicals sector.
- Prepare periodic reports on business development activities, customer visits, tanker procurement, and revenue generation.
- Analyze profitability of customers, routes, and market vehicle placements.
Qualification & Experience
Education
- Graduate in any discipline.
- Preference will be given to candidates with qualifications in Marketing, Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business Management.
Experience
- 5-10 years of experience in Chemical Logistics, Petrochemical Logistics, Bulk Liquid Transportation, Tanker Operations, Freight Brokerage, or Transport Marketing.
- Proven track record of generating logistics business and arranging market vehicles.
