Position: Project Manager – Restaurant

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Project Manager to oversee restaurant development, expansion, renovation, and operational improvement projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing projects from concept to completion while ensuring adherence to budgets, timelines, quality standards, and brand requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
- Plan, manage, and execute restaurant opening, renovation, and expansion projects.
- Develop project schedules, budgets, resource plans, and milestones.
- Coordinate with architects, designers, contractors, vendors, and internal departments.
- Ensure project deliverables are completed on time and within budget.
Restaurant Development & Setup
- Oversee restaurant fit-outs, interior development, kitchen setup, and equipment installation.
- Coordinate procurement and installation of furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E).
- Ensure compliance with restaurant design standards and brand guidelines.
- Manage pre-opening activities and readiness assessments.
Operations Coordination
- Collaborate with restaurant operations, kitchen, procurement, HR, finance, and marketing teams.
- Support implementation of SOPs and operational processes.
- Ensure smooth transition from project completion to restaurant operations.
- Monitor operational improvement projects across existing outlets.
Vendor & Contractor Management
- Source, evaluate, and manage contractors, consultants, and suppliers.
- Negotiate contracts and ensure timely delivery of services and materials.
- Monitor vendor performance and project quality standards.
Budget & Cost Control
- Prepare and manage project budgets.
- Track project expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure projects remain within approved financial parameters.
- Prepare financial and progress reports for management review.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure compliance with food safety, health, fire safety, and local regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality audits.
- Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain project documentation, contracts, permits, approvals, and project reports.
- Present project updates and performance reports to senior management.
- Track project KPIs and ensure successful project delivery.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Project Management, Business Administration, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Project Management certification (PMP/PRINCE2) is preferred.
- 4–8 years of experience managing restaurant, hospitality, retail, or food service projects.
