Job Title: Vice Principal – Senior Secondary (Grades XI & XII)
Role Overview:
The Vice Principal – Senior Secondary is responsible for the overall academic leadership, administration, and performance of Grades 11 and 12. The role combines strategic oversight with active teaching, ensuring excellence in board results, faculty management, and student development.
Key Responsibilities:
Academic Leadership:
- Lead and manage the academic planning and execution for Grades XI & XII
- Ensure strict alignment with CBSE curriculum, policies, and board guidelines
- Monitor teaching quality, lesson planning, and classroom delivery
- Drive strategies to achieve outstanding board examination results
- Analyze academic data and implement improvement plans
Teaching Responsibilities:
- Teach assigned subject(s) for Grades XI & XII
- Deliver high-quality, result-oriented lessons
- Conduct revision sessions, doubt-clearing classes, and exam preparation
- Model best teaching practices for senior faculty
Faculty Management:
- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate senior secondary teachers
- Conduct classroom observations and provide constructive feedback
- Organize training sessions, workshops, and professional development programs
- Ensure accountability and performance standards among staff
Student Development & Discipline:
- Oversee student academic progress, discipline, and well-being
- Guide students on career pathways, competitive exams, and higher education
- Handle critical student and parent concerns effectively
Administration & Operations:
- Coordinate timetable, workload distribution, and academic schedules
- Manage internal assessments, practical exams, and board exam readiness
- Ensure proper documentation, records, and compliance with CBSE norms
- Support admissions, stream allocation, and student counseling
Parent & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Conduct parent meetings and address academic concerns
- Maintain transparent communication regarding student performance
- Represent senior secondary wing in school leadership discussions
Additional Responsibilities:
- Assist the Principal in overall school management
- Lead school inspections, audits, and board-related processes
- Promote a culture of academic excellence and discipline
Required Qualifications:
- Postgraduate degree in a relevant subject
- B.Ed. (mandatory); M.Ed. preferred
- 8–12 years of teaching experience, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role
- Strong experience in teaching Grades XI & XII (CBSE board)
