About Big Wings LLC
Big Wings LLC is building the connected infrastructure layer for commercial transportation.
Our flagship platforms, TechTruckers TMS and Big Garage, combine AI, telematics, and
embedded hardware to give carriers, drivers, and fleet operators real-time visibility into
every truck on the road.
We design our own GPS tracking devices, AI dash cameras, Android-based in-cab systems,
and IoT fleet hardware — engineering the full stack from silicon to software. We’re a product engineering company, not a traditional logistics business, and we’re scaling fast to bring intelligent, connected systems to one of the largest industries in the world.
The Opportunity
This is not a supporting-role internship. You’ll work directly on production hardware that
ships into real trucks and real fleets — GPS trackers, AI-powered dash cameras, embedded
controllers, and vehicle communication systems that carriers depend on daily.
You’ll get hands-on exposure to embedded firmware, PCB development, CAN Bus and OBD II integration, and connected vehicle intelligence — the kind of automotive-grade hardware engineering most internships never touch. If you want to build things that leave the lab and go into the field, this is where you do it.
What You’ll Do
Prototype and validate hardware — support PCB design, testing, debugging, and BOM
preparation for new device iterations.
Build and troubleshoot vehicle integrations — configure GPS trackers and work on
CAN Bus and OBD-II diagnostics to connect hardware to the TechTruckers platform.
Develop on embedded platforms — work with ESP32, STM32, Arduino, or Raspberry Pi
to flash firmware, test sensors, and integrate IoT communication modules.
Support AI dash camera and Android systems — assist with in-cab device configuration, camera streaming, and connectivity testing.
Configure networked test environments — set up Linux/Windows systems, manage
connected devices, and troubleshoot hardware-software integration.
Document engineering work — maintain test reports, wiring diagrams, and technical
documentation that the team relies on.
What We’re Looking For
A foundational understanding of electronics, circuits, and embedded systems.
Curiosity about hardware-software integration and a drive to learn quickly on real
projects.
Strong analytical thinking and a hands-on, problem-solving mindset.
Comfort working with ambiguity — you’ll be building things that don’t have a manual yet.
We hire for potential. If you’re early in your hardware journey but genuinely excited about
connected vehicle technology, we want to hear from you.
Nice to Have
Experience or coursework involving any of the following is a plus:
ESP32 · STM32 · Raspberry Pi · Arduino · CAN Bus · OBD-II · GPS · BLE · Wi-Fi · LTE ·
Embedded C/C++ · PCB Design · KiCad · Altium · Linux · Android · IoT
Why Join Big Wings
Ship real hardware. Your work goes into physical devices running in commercial trucks
— not a simulation, not a demo.
Learn from engineers building at the edge of automotive IoT. Direct mentorship from
the team designing our GPS, telematics, and AI camera hardware.
Own real problems from day one. You’ll be trusted with meaningful engineering work,
not just documentation and observation.
Work across the full stack. From PCB layout to embedded firmware to platform
integration — see how connected hardware systems come together end to end.
Grow inside a company built for scale. Big Wings is engineering the technology layer
for an entire industry, and we’re just getting started.
Big Wings LLC is an equal opportunity employer. We welcome applicants from all
backgrounds who are excited to build the future of connected commercial transportation
