JOB DESCRIPTION – BDS SPECIALIST
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive oral examinations and diagnose dental conditions.
- Prepare and explain treatment plans to patients.
- Carry out routine dental procedures including:
- Scaling and polishing
- Restorations (fillings)
- Root canal treatments within competency
- Extractions
- Pediatric dental procedures
- Preventive dental care
- Maintain accurate clinical records, treatment notes, consent forms, and prescriptions.
- Interpret radiographs, OPGs, and CBCT scans as required.
- Ensure strict infection control and sterilization protocols.
- Educate patients regarding oral hygiene and preventive care.
- Coordinate with specialists for multidisciplinary treatment planning.
- Attend clinical meetings, training programs, and continuing education activities.
- Assist in achieving clinic quality standards and patient satisfaction goals.
- Handle dental emergencies and provide appropriate treatment.
- Follow ethical and legal guidelines established by the Dental Council and clinic policies.
Qualifications
- BDS degree from a recognized institution.
- Valid State Dental Council registration.
- Good communication and patient management skills.
- Basic computer knowledge and dental software proficiency preferred.

JOB DESCRIPTION – MDS SPECIALIST
Position: MDS Specialist ( Prosthodontist)
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage complex dental and oral health conditions within the specialty.
- Provide specialist consultations and treatment planning.
- Perform advanced procedures related to the specialty, including:
- Endodontic treatments and re-treatments
- Orthodontic treatment and aligner therapy
- Implant planning and prosthetic rehabilitation
- Surgical extractions and oral surgical procedures
- Periodontal surgeries and advanced periodontal care
- Full-mouth rehabilitation cases
- Review referrals from general dentists and provide expert opinions.
- Supervise and guide junior dentists and clinical staff.
- Maintain detailed clinical documentation, consent forms, and treatment records.
- Interpret advanced imaging such as CBCT and other diagnostic investigations.
- Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in case discussions, treatment audits, and quality improvement programs.
- Conduct patient education and counseling regarding treatment options, risks, and outcomes.
- Stay updated with current advances and evidence-based practices in the specialty.
- Assist management in developing specialty services and clinical protocols.
Qualifications
- MDS degree in the relevant specialty from a recognized institution.
- Valid State Dental Council registration.
- Relevant clinical experience preferred.
