We are seeking a passionate, creative, and dedicated Telugu Teacher to inspire a love for the Telugu language and culture in students from Grades 1 to 7. The ideal candidate will create engaging, child-centered learning experiences while respecting the Montessori philosophy of independence, hands-on learning, and mixed-ability classrooms.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Telugu language to students in Grades 1–7 using engaging and interactive teaching methods.
- Develop students' skills in speaking, listening, reading, and writing Telugu.
- Foster an appreciation for Telugu literature, stories, poetry, traditions, and culture.
- Plan and deliver lessons that accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
- Use Montessori principles to encourage exploration, independence, and self-directed learning.
- Create and prepare age-appropriate learning materials and classroom activities.
- Assess student progress through observations, classwork, projects, and informal assessments.
- Maintain student records and provide regular progress updates.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate Telugu learning into broader classroom experiences where appropriate.
- Create a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Participate in school events, cultural celebrations, parent meetings, staff meetings, and professional development.
- Follow all school policies regarding child safety, well-being, and professional conduct.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Telugu, Education, or a related field.
- B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification is preferred.
- Fluency in spoken and written Telugu.
- Previous experience teaching primary or middle school students is preferred.
- Montessori experience is an advantage; however, training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
- Passion for working with children and nurturing a love for language learning.
