Role Summary
The role of a Business Development Executive is essential for supporting business growth through inside sales, market research, customer coordination, and sales support activities. This position focuses on generating business opportunities, managing client communication, conducting market research, and supporting the sales process from lead generation to customer engagement. The role combines communication, coordination, presentation, and relationship management skills to contribute to the company’s revenue objectives. This is a full-time, on-site position located in Pune City (Viman Nagar).
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Conduct market research to identify potential customers, industry trends, competitor activities, and new business opportunities.
2. Generate and qualify leads through calls, emails, online research, and networking platforms.
3. Perform inside sales activities including cold calling, follow-ups, customer engagement, and appointment scheduling.
4. Prepare and deliver business presentations, company pitches, and introductory meetings for prospective clients.
5. Coordinate with customers regarding inquiries, proposals, quotations, and order follow-ups.
6. Support the sales team in preparing commercial proposals, presentations, and business documents.
7. Maintain regular communication with existing and prospective clients to build strong business relationships.
8. Coordinate internally with procurement, operations, accounts, and management teams for smooth execution of business activities.
9. Handle pre-sales and post-sales coordination activities to ensure customer satisfaction and timely support.
10. Maintain and update customer databases, sales records, lead trackers, and pipeline reports.
11. Follow up on pending quotations, proposals, payments, and customer feedback.
12. Support digital outreach and business promotion activities through LinkedIn, email campaigns, and other platforms.
13. Prepare MIS reports, sales reports, and maintain proper documentation of client interactions and business activities.
14. Achieve assigned business development and inside sales targets while contributing to overall company growth.
Qualifications and Skills Required
1. Master or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Management, Marketing, or any related field.
2. 2–4 years of experience in business development, inside sales, sales coordination, customer support, or marketing activities.
3. Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
4. Confidence in customer interaction, calling, and business pitching.
5. Good knowledge of MS Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
6. Ability to conduct market research and analyze customer/business opportunities.
7. Strong organizational, coordination, and follow-up skills.
8. Ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
9. Professional approach towards customer handling and relationship management.
10. Self-motivated, target-oriented, and willing to learn new business development strategies.
11. Familiarity with LinkedIn, CRM tools, email communication, and online research platforms will be an added advantage.
