We are seeking a talented Technical Writer to join our growing SaaS company and craft exceptional documentation for our industry-leading product. In this role, you will be the voice of our user experience, translating technical concepts into clear, concise, and engaging content that helps our customers get the most out of our platform.
Responsibilities:
Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including user guides, FAQs, knowledge base articles, and API references.
Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and customer support to gather accurate and up-to-date information.
Write in a clear, concise, and engaging style, tailoring content to diverse user audiences (beginner, intermediate, advanced).
Utilize a variety of content formats, including text, screenshots, and multimedia elements (where appropriate).
Apply best practices for SEO and information architecture to ensure content is easily discoverable.
Stay up-to-date on the latest trends in technical writing and content creation.
Participate in the development and maintenance of our content style guide.
Assist with the creation of onboarding materials and training content.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Writing, Communication, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum 2 years of experience writing technical documentation for software or SaaS products.
Strong understanding of SaaS concepts and best practices.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to take complex information and translate it into clear, concise, and easy-to-understand language for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Experience with content management systems (CMS) a plus.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Bonus points:
Experience with API documentation tools (e.g., Swagger, OpenAPI)
Experience with knowledge base platforms
Experience with writing in a specific industry vertical relevant to our product
