Job Summary-
The Surveyor is responsible for conducting land and site surveys, setting out project works, and ensuring accurate measurements for construction and infrastructure projects. The role involves using surveying instruments and software to provide precise data for planning, design, and execution of works in compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities-
- Conduct topographic, boundary, and construction surveys at project sites.
- Perform layout and setting out for roads, buildings, bridges, pipelines, and other infrastructure works.
- Operate surveying instruments such as Total Station, GPS, Auto Level, and Theodolite.
- Prepare survey reports, maps, drawings, and measurement data.
- Verify alignment, levels, and dimensions during construction activities.
- Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and project teams for accurate execution of works.
- Maintain survey records, benchmarks, and control points.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, and quality standards.
- Assist in quantity calculations and preparation of as-built drawings.
- Follow safety procedures and company policies at all times.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma / Degree in Civil Engineering, Survey Engineering, or related field.
- Certification in land surveying is an added advantage.
Experience
- 3 – 8 years of experience in construction or infrastructure projects.
- Experience in roads, highways, buildings, railways, or industrial projects preferred.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Total Station, DGPS/GPS, Auto Level, and surveying tools.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or survey-related software.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
- Good understanding of construction drawings and specifications.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in measurements.
- Ability to work under site conditions and meet deadlines.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Working Conditions
- Outdoor site-based work in varying weather conditions.
- May require travel or relocation depending on project location.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹36,685.12 per month
